Go see Alaska!

We lived in Alaska for three years and Alaska is everything that I hoped it would be! I fell in love with Alaska in every sense of the word! I now have the chance to "Get the word out" to anybody and everybody who will listen! LOL! Alaska is truely a "Storybook"! Always something to do! Very clean and pure! The people are very down to earth and friendly! The Northern Lights are Very "Stunning"! Valdez is really quite breathtaking! there are waterfalls everywhere you look! You just pull over to the side of the road and get our of your car and stare at the most Stunning waterfalls that I've ever seen! If you dont know how to fish, you will learn! You can "see" the fish in the clear water and just about reach in and get one! Sure it can get cold (below zero) and it can be long winters of about 8 months, yet its so very worth it to go see a place this Perfect if you ever have the means to do so. They have a place in fairbanks, ak. where they display a huge number of "Ice Sculptures"! All have colored lights that make them Shine Bright in the winters darkness! The fun times our family had up there Will Be Forever Treasured Memories in my Mind! Its my dream to one day be able to buy a small cabin up there for a second home. Alot of people who have never been to Alaska will say, oh, I wont like it, not 8 months of winter. The key to that is "Layering" your clothes, and finding things to do! One winters day my husband says we are gonna go Ice fishing! I says okay! I asked about 20 minutes later, when will we be there? He says.....We are there! LOL! he says you remember that Lake we fished at alot last summer? I says yes...He says well, We are Driving across that lake right now! I was soooo scard! LOL! I says get me outta here!!! I dont wanna sink!! lol!Turns our we pulled up to an Ice-shack and had one of the best, fun days of fishing that I can remember! There are portable heaters you bring to stay warm! Dont forget the Hot coffee (or) Hot Chocolate Thermos! The key to living in a place like Alaska is to stay busy! Inside & outside! Many, Many Great fun things to do for "All Ages"!! Now, that Ive started to post, I just could (not) Leave Alaska out! If Anyone of you out there has the means to "Go See Alaska" I can Personally Guareentee one of the Best times of your life!! This post is coming from someone who is used to the city life! So, it Don't matter where you were born (or) where you are coming from...Alaska is truely an Adventure in every Sense of the word! "Alaska Rules" in my book! LOL!
